March 14 is Humanities Advocacy Day! A record-breaking number of humanities advocates are in Washington D.C. today, March 13th, meeting with hundreds of Members of Congress to make the case for federal funding for the humanities.
AASLH is partnering with the National Humanities Alliance to make clear to Congress that we oppose all efforts to eliminate funding for the National Endowment for the Humanities.
Please join the effort by calling your Members of Congress on Tuesday, March 14. Calls from constituents will bolster the message of those on the Hill.
Click here to be patched through to your Senators’ and Representative’s offices (or to send an email). The system will not start making calls until you are ready, and it will provide a script if you would like one.
Please spread the word about Humanities Advocacy Day and follow the action on social media at #HAD17.
