Voting is now open in the annual Council and Leadership Nominating Committee elections. We encourage you to participate in the election and cast your vote! The election closes on June 25.
The AASLH Council is the governing board of the association. Council sets policy and provides leadership for the association, is responsible for strategic planning, and represents AASLH members and the field at large.
The Leadership Nominating Committee nominates candidates for Council and its own committee.

How to Vote
To vote, you need two things:
- Your Member ID.
- Individual Members need to enter their last name on the ballot. Institutional Members should enter the name of the institution exactly as it appears in their membership account on the AASLH Membership Center.
Follow these steps to find your Member ID:
- Log in to the AASLH Membership Center.
- Click on your name in the upper right. In the drop-down menu that appears, click on My Profile.
- Click on Membership.
- Click on American Association for State and Local History. Your ID will be located under Membership Info.
