A new exhibit highlighting important additions to the Society’s collections since the millennium.
Dedicated to the late Huyler Held (1925-2012), a SPLIA past president and its longest standing trustee, this exhibit features many of the Society’s most significant acquisitions. Ranging from eighteenth and nineteenth century masterworks of Long Island decorative arts to 20th century ephemera, these objects and images tell multiple stories about Long Island’s cultural heritage and the traditions that define its sense of place.
