    Individual Membership at AASLH

    Individual members come from a spectrum of organizations, experiences, and areas of interest. As an individual member, your membership stays connected to you throughout your career. Your membership grants you access to a vibrant community of people doing history work, as well as resources and support to help you each step of the way. By joining AASLH, you are part of a larger effort to advance the field.

    • Individual Basic | $80 | Most of our individual members fall into this category. Your membership can move to and from a basic membership and any of the other types of membership listed below depending on where you are in your history career.
    • Student | $30 | Student membership is for undergraduate and graduate students.
    • New Professionals | $45 | The New Professional membership is for anyone in their first three years working or seeking employment at a museum, historic site, or related institution or who otherwise considers themself a part of the history community.
    • Retired | $45 | This category is for retirees interested in staying connected and involved with AASLH’s community of history doers.

    • History News quarterly magazine (student members receive a digital copy of the magazine)
    • Technical Leaflets (delivered quarterly with History News magazine)
    • Unlimited online access, via the Resource Center, to the last three years of History News and Technical Leaflets
    • Unlimited online access, via JSTOR, to the entire run of History News and Technical Leaflets, from three years ago back to 1941
      • Upon joining, new members will receive an invitation directly from JSTOR.
