Our approach

AASLH is committed to accessibility for all of our members and guests. The association has retained an accessibility consultant (UsableNet) to implement and maintain compliance with the relevant portions of the World Wide Web Consortium’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 Level AA (WCAG 2.0 AA) as well as state and federal accessibility requirements.

Current limitations of this site’s accessibility

As part of our commitment to providing all of our users with full and equal opportunity to benefit from our offerings, we are continually improving our website to make it more accessible. We’ve outlined current limitations below.

Some limitations :

  • Some file formats are not e-reader friendly
    (PDF, Microsoft Word, Webinar Recordings)

  • Our Resource Center may provide challenges
    to users using screen readers

Our future Accessibility goals :

  • Provide closed captioning for live and recorded webinars

  • Provide transcripts for audio recordings
  • Make PDFs screen-reader friendly
  • Continue to meet AA standards
