The Visitor Studies Association‘s annual conference will be held in Boston July 19-23, 2016! The Data Revolution theme will challenge the museum community to think about how the use of data in decision making, data collection and analysis techniques, and the availability and use of data by wider publics can contribute to new insights about the visitor experience and informal learning environments. More than a numbers game, the data revolution is about connecting users with data to make decisions; evaluators analyzing data sets in ways that create knowledge; advocates of evaluation using data to solve problems. Consider the various ways you connect with, collect, use, ponder, make sense of, and advocate for or against data, and submit a session proposal to discuss with others.
The call for session and workshop proposals is open (deadline for submissions is December 11). So, get your thinking caps on, call your colleagues, and submit a session or workshop now!
