Membership
AASLH offers multiple membership levels for individuals, institutions, and academic programs. Within these levels, we offer several member types. For more details about membership and member benefits, please visit our Membership page.
If you wish to renew online with a credit card, go to our Membership Center. Once you login with your username and password, click on your name in the upper right corner. Then, click on Individual or Institutional Membership to renew.
If you wish to pay with a check, mail the check along with your renewal notification to our office at 2021 21st Avenue South, Suite 320, Nashville, TN 37212.
You can continue with your current membership until the actual expiration date is reached.
To update your contact information go to our Membership Center. After you log in, click on your name on the upper right of the screen. Then, click on My Profile. Click on the pencil icon under My Personal Information to make changes.
Go to the Membership Center and click the Login/SignUp link on the upper right.
If you already have an existing account with AASLH, click Login and enter your username and password. If you have forgotten your password, click Login and the Forgot your password? link on the next screen.
If you are new to AASLH, click Join AASLH and follow the prompts.

Some members may receive a blank screen when trying to login and access the AASLH Membership Center. This is due to an issue with our association management system provider. Our team is currently working on a permanent fix for this issue, but until then please use the instructions in this video to clear your browsing data and cache. You will be able to refresh the page and access the Membership Center after doing so. We apologize for this inconvenience. Please call us at 615-320-3203 with any questions regarding this error and/or getting logged into your account.
Go to the AASLH Membership Center. Click Login/SignUp on the upper right of the screen. Then, click Login. On the next screen, click Forgot your password? below the password field.
The institution’s Primary or Billing Contact should sign in through the Membership Center. When prompted to choose a profile, select your institution’s profile. Click on the institution’s name in the top right corner of the screen to get a drop-drown menu. Select “Manage Org Contacts.” This will take you to a page where you can add and remove staff from your organization.

To view upcoming AASLH Professional Development events, visit the Upcoming Events section of the AASLH Resource Center.
Go to the Membership Center. Click on Login/Signup and then click Login. Once you are logging into the Membership Center, click Resource Center on the top navigation. Browse our catalog and search for an upcoming event. Click the Register button to register for the event.
History News magazine is a benefit of AASLH membership. Visit our Membership page to become a member. Visit the History News page for more information about our magazine. You can also access recent issues of History News in the AASLH Resource Center.

Get Involved
Details on submitting donations to our Annual Fund, endowment, fundraising campaigns, various scholarship initiatives, or joining the Legacy Society can be found on our Donation page.
AASLH is accepting submissions of short articles to be posted on our blog. Specifically, we are seeking articles on issues and challenges facing history organizations and their staffs. Articles should be clear, concise, and offer obvious takeaways or suggestions. There is no deadline, and submissions are welcomed at any time. You can expect a response within two to three weeks.

We have several opportunities for you to get involved. Look over the Get Involved page to see what interests you the most. Our committee terms begin on October 1. To be considered for an AASLH committee, please email the committee chair or contact us at 615-320-3203 or [email protected]. Contact information for committee chairs can be found on the Communities section of our website. Click on the Affinity Community you’re interested in. Then, click on the Committees tab to access the email address of the committee chair.
To volunteer for the AASLH Annual Conference you must be student and have an AASLH Student Membership. When you register for the Annual Conference, follow the instructions to become a volunteer.
